Joanne Bettada, DVM
Veterinarian
Dr. Joanne Bettada was born and raised in Taiwan & spent the first 18 years of her life there surrounded by animals. She moved to the United States for her tertiary education & after working a few years in Intel as a microprocessor designer, her desire to work with animals led her to switch gears. Starting as a kennel assistant, she has worked in all aspect of the veterinary field, including as a Registered Veterinary Technician for years prior to veterinary school. After graduation from the School of Veterinary Medicine at UC Davis, she pursued & completed a rotating internship at a busy multi-specialty hospital in San Francisco.
Dr. Bettada's main interests lay in general patient wellness, internal medicine with a focus on imaging, urgent care, & senior patient care. When she is not glued to her veterinary work, Dr. Bettada loves to read and cuddle with her two orange cats, Paulie (a polydactyl) and Danta (a sporty jumper and mischievous chewer who loves tomatoes, peaches, and papaya). She also enjoys hiking with her husband around the Bay Area. She has done a lot of road trips and has been to 44 states - you cannot say she has the most perfect sense of direction but she has always found her way home!
